Anglo is committed to adopting sustainable practices across the business to help combat climate change and sustain our environment for future generations.
We offer a wide range of products manufactured from responsibly sourced materials. This includes recycled and biodegradable sunglasses, knitted and woven soft accessories in recycled and Oekotex yarns and we manufacture bags and belts using environmentally friendly water based PU. We also offer responsibly sourced LWG leathers for gloves, bags and belts. Anglo and our factories are part of the Higg Index which is a self - assessment standard for measuring environmental and social sustainability though out the supply chain.
Anglo is committed to reducing the use of plastics in the packaging of samples and production, where possible using recycled or biodegradable materials as an alternative. We recycle our office waste and are nurturing a family of plants to help purify our office air. The large majority of our staff commute via public transport, cycle or walk and we are working on the final few!
We offset our carbon omissions through verified carbon reduction projects by planting trees in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya and also in the UK.
ETHICAL TRADING
We provide a happy and supportive environment for our staff in UK and China and foster positive working relationships with colleagues in our supply base. We celebrate the cultural diversity of our team and that we have so many women in leadership roles.
Our compliance teams in the UK and China closely monitor and audit our factories to ensure that the criteria set out in the Ethical Trading Initiative Code are consistently met. The team attends regular workshops and customer meetings to ensure any new requirements are quickly relayed back to the supply chain and smoothly implemented. We work in partnership with ethical specialists BV, ITS, SGS as well as our customer’s own auditors.
Our UK and China based quality assurance teams monitor our products from the outset. All styles are risk assessed and fitted at each stage of the critical path, regular spot checks and final inspections are carried out to ensure that our clients always receive the highest standards of goods and service. All our products are tested from customer nominated accredited testing houses such as ITS, BV, SGS and QIMA. We keep our factories fully updated on all new testing rules and regulations. All factories follow and comply to REACH legislation and California Proposition 65.
We have long standing relationships with our supply chain giving Anglo Accessories the capability to manufacture styles with faster lead times. Our experienced merchandising teams work closely with our factories to ensure that orders run smoothly and that critical path dates are met.
